Scene di isteria collettiva per il lancio di GTA IV. Il responsabile dell'area PR di GameStop per l'Europa ha affermato che mai prima di oggi la catena aveva ricevuto tante telefonate per sapere se il dayone di un gioco sarebbe stato rotto o meno.
E intanto sul web è aperta la caccia a quei pochi negozietti che hanno iniziato a vendere il gioco qualche giorno prima magari sottobanco.
Intanto le più grandi catene come MediaWorld,GameRush e Gamestop sono sempre più vigili nel controllare le catene concorrenti, in quanto se una delle catene rompesse il dayone prima del 29 Aprile allora tutte le altre sarebbero autorizzare a romperlo di conseguenza poichè la salatissima multa per aver venduto il titolo prima del giorno di uscita sarebbe pagata solo dalla catena che effettivamente anticiperà il giorno del lancio per prima.
Sul web sono apparsi i primi video di gameplay del titolo con gli uomini di Take2 (publisher del titolo) che lavorano per far levare da youtube e siti simili i filmati che vengono caricati dai pochi fortunati che hanno ricevuto una copia con largo anticipo.Il lancio di GTA IV si sta rilevando uno dei più attesi della storia dei videogichi e alcuni analisti di mercato ipotizzano che il titolo possa vendere 6 milioni di copie nella prima settimana battendo il record attuale detenuto da Halo 3 con ben 3,8 milioni di copie nella prima settimana.
